I've been into building and driving R/C Cars since the mid-80's. Back then, I purchased my first R/C kit from Tamiya... "The Fox." I ran the car with a friend of mine at the local school and we built a dirt track in the woods. My friend drove a Tamiya Boomerang. Eventually, the Fox went into storage, but my love of the cars remained.

After finishing college, getting married, and buying a house, I decided to buy myself another car in 1999. Again, I bought a Tamiya kit, but this time it was the "Blitzer Beetle." I built the kit and drove it around my yard, but nothing more than that.

In early 2002, I purchased an Associated TC3 electric touring sedan and started racing on the weekends. My preference has always been off-road vehicles though. So, in early 2003 I bought my first nitro vehicle... a Traxxas T-Maxx 2.5. I have done many modifications to the T-Maxx and, in the spring of 2003, I started racing at the local track.

More recently I have ventured into the 1/18th micro R/C arena. I have two Team XRay M18 shaft-driven micro cars. One I race in a stock motor class and the other I race in a modified motor class. I also have an HPI Micro RS4, but it's in the process of being rebuilt.

My cars:
  • Team XRay M18 (Stock) - team orion elite stock motor, xray carbon fiber chassis, carbon fiber drive shaft, spy esc, hs-81 servo, ball diffs, aluminum dog bones.
  • Team XRay M18 (Modified) - mamba 6800, xray carbon fiber chassis, carbon fiber drive shaft, spy esc, hs-81 servo, ball diffs, aluminum dog bones.
  • HPI Micro RS4 - currently in pieces and being rebuilt.
  • Team Associated Electric TC3 - mostly stock (out of the box) but a few minor upgrades.
  • Traxxas T-Maxx - sirio .18 motor and tuned pipe, hardcore racing skid plates, rpm a-arms, rpm bulkhead braces, rpm front and reat bumpers, anmc aluminum chassis braces, ballistic batteries reciever pack, digital high-torque steering servo, and much more.
I like to video tape R/C cars in action. Here are a few of the videos I have made. Here are some R/C bodies I've painted for my cars as well as some other photos: Some of my favorite R/C links
