I have had the opportunity to drive a pretty good number of cars in my life and I feel very fortunate to have had some of those experiences. Included in these are everything from a Jeep Wrangler to a Porsche 944. However, I have only owned 4 different cars of my own.

When I first got my license, my parents gave me a 1980 Volkswagen Scirocco to drive. For a 16 year old kid, this was a great car to start out with. I loved the Scirocco, but it did get me in trouble with the police every now and then. Nothing serious, just a few unwanted speeding tickets. In 1989, they sold the Scirocco and bought a new Jeep Wrangler. I drove the Wrangler during my last year of high school and my first 3 years of college. In 1992 I discovered the Volkswagen Corrado and that was the car I had to buy. A few months later, I did it. Unfortunately, about 1 month after buying my dream car, a bad accident claimed it. Because the accident was not my fault and the car was totalled, the insurance replaced the Corrado and I had my dream car back. Over the next year I had a bit of mechanical trouble with the second Corrado, but all was well by April of 1994. That's when, while sitting at a traffic light, I was rear ended by some joker who was an uninsured driver. My car was very badly damaged and his was totalled. The spooky thing is that this accident happened on the same Friday in April as the accident that claimed the first Corrado one year earlier.

I ended up trading in the Corrado for a 1994 Honda Civic EX Coupe. The Honda has been great as far as reliability, but I never really wanted it. (It's a long complicated story.) When I met and married Heather in 1998, she brought a 1994 Chevy Beretta into the family.

I've been driving the Honda now for 8 years and 130,000+ miles and have been looking at adding a new vehicle to our family. On February 8th, 2002, I signed the paperwork for a brand new 2002 Chevy Tahoe LT in indigo blue metallic. I have been wanting an SUV for about 5 years now and have looked at all different types... Isuzu Rodeo, Ford Explorer, Dodge Durango and the Tahoe. I first started looking into the Tahoe in late 2000 and ever since then I have been wanting my own.

Here are some pictures of our new Tahoe.
